Footie Tots and Footie Wizards Football classes for kids aged between 2 1/2 and 8 years old that will introduce them to a world of fitness and football rolled in with a good helping of fun.  Andy Scates who teaches the children is highly engaging, holding their attention and full of encouragement every step of the way.  All classes are held indoors but in the summer they hold a fantastic summer “camp” with football training outdoors for a period of 3 weeks whereby you can opt for mornings or full days.  I can give a personal recommendation for this excellent facility.  Classes run at venues in Teddington and are on different days depending on the age and level of training required.  Contact Andy Scates 07931 707720.

Also for Pre-schoolers, the excellent child care provider and nursery Building Blocks are running “Stay and Play” sesions at their Fulwell Road, Teddington site.  From 25th February 2013 there will be daily sessions on Monday to Friday between 9.45 and 11.45am.  Together you and your child can get creative and have access to messy play facilities, (at theirs rather than at your lovely home ;)) enjoy the newly landscaped garden and take part in music and movement sessions.  Both of my kids attended Building Blocks at this site for several years and I’m sure this will be a huge success.  For more info call Clare 020 8943 2227  http://www.buildingblockschildcare.co.uk/

For pre-schoolers aged between 6 months and 4 years I would highly recommend Mini Stages http://www.ministages.co.uk/  in Walton on Thames, Surrey.  Part of Stagecoach but specially for the little ones I personally felt it was worth the short drive down to Walton as my kids just loved this singing and dancing experience.

Following on from Mini Stages is of course StageCoach Theatre Arts  http://www.stagecoach.co.uk/  they hold classes for kids aged 4-6 years and then 6-18 years.  Classes are run locally in Twickenham, Richmond and Kingston and all attending children have the opportunity to join the Stagecoach Agency and who knows where that may lead……
