Theatre and pantomime

I do like to look at local theatre when I’m searching for great theatrical performance.   It can offer a really broad variety of plays and styles of theatre and is often more accessible to younger viewers to attend more regularly as it is set in less formal surroundings, and the ticket price is lower too 😉  This is not to discount the larger theatres (and we’re very lucky to have two rather special ones on our doorstep) as Richmond often offers a huge selection of shows that perform here either prior to or after their time in the West End and The Rose in Kingston has some excellent professional theatre companies visiting with a fabulous line up.

The Waterman’s in Brentford always have a great line up for kids and Watermans Palettethey also offer their very special arts and crafts workshops that accompany some performances, to really encourage children to get into the spirit of the show.  Just look out for the palette sign when you’re booking …

Watermans also have regular “Family Cinema” days, whereby an adult goes free with a full paying child and “parent and baby screenings” every Wednesday at 11.30am, screening their main title films especially for parents/guardians/carers with babies up to one year old, babies seat is provided what a great idea 😉    For more information on the upcoming shows, events and booking visit http://www.watermans.org.uk/
